How we can make money through selling of sand, stone or others soil. What measurement should we take in considering of selling the goods? In market all goods can sell by packaging, jumbo bag, lorry, and barges. It can be 1 kg, 5 kg, 1 ton, or 1 cubic meter for guideline. Easy packaging can use plastic, nylon or boxes, it could be measurement by Kilogram . We can use weight bridge for lorry as proof of weight, weight slip will print out as ton. In market, consultant for big project normally use cubic meter as major measure for sand, red earth, and others soil. 

Method of Quantities Calculation for Sand as below :-

Example :

= Body Length x Body Width x (Body Height + Extra Height) – Area X – Area Y

= 6.00 m x 2.40 m x (0.50 m + 0.50 m) – (5.50 m X 0.50 m x 0.50 m)/2 x 2 sides – (1.40 m + 2.40 m)/2 x 0.50 m x 0.50 m

=12.55 cu.m

The sand and stone are the most need to make the entire pet in good health and in co-nature. What type of sand and stone for pet? In market there is few type of sand and stone sell at different price base on quality of sand or stone, coloring, sizing, grading and mixed mineral. 

Look what is the price for packing sand and packing stone in the market? Pricing base on quality of sand or stone. All of this your can buy or look at all supermarket or pet shop. Compare the price. 

1. 1kg sand (cat/ dog)          - $3.00 - $20.00 per package
2. 1 kg stone (fish)aquarium -$5.00 - $50.00 per package

So, sand can make money for those really know what sand and stone are use full in the actual living. People buy what they need for live. You can make money 1000% profit out of this. Let I show what the cost is for sand for pet. 

1. 1 ton of sand $10.00 (1000 package - $0.10 per package)
2. Packaging cost - $0.30 per package
3. Transportation / marketing - $0.20 per package

The Sand and stone really can make money;   cost per package is $0.60. Now you start calculation what, why, and how. You can start a business and delivery to all pet shop and supermarket. You can start make money from sand and stone.

Today, I had a drink with few members and one of the topic is “The Sand is No Value at all if no transportion to carry out of it”. The point is that, transportion is the key element in material suppling.

As promise, hereby I drawdown few information, where sand and mineral  can create income for long terms. The main idea is what we see in-front of us everyday. The hill, river, sea, lake, pond and others in the world, it is really use full to us. Now let start from here .....

Now day all construction works using sand and red-earth. Red-earth normally use as dumping for road making or cover up slope area. Red-earth you can get from few hill area at Junjung, Kulim, Relau and Bandar Baharu, Kedah. Range of area within 45 km to Batu Kawan. In this drawdown,  I’m focusing  Project of Penang 2^nd Bridge at Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia. At others place in the world I thing the process are the same. 

How about sand? First of all there are four (4) type of sand as below :-

1. Hill Sand    –  75% sand ; 25% others mineral (dumping sand)
2. River sand  –  85% sand ; 15% others mineral (dumping & course sand)
3. Mining sand –  95% sand ; 15% others mineral (course sand & fine sand)
4. Sea Sand - 90% sand; 10% others mineral (reclamation use)

The engineer of project will conduct a visit to site (stockpile area) and getting a sample to test out before any Purchase Order (PO) can be issue out. Normally the report of sample within two (2)  working days. The process is simple, coz in trading area, there are between supplier and purchaser only.

O   Let start talking about Supplier, who make money out of this transaction. The market for Red Earth and sand for Batu Kawan area, in Penang as below :-    

1. Red Earth                     - $18.00 per Metric Ton
2. Sand (dumping sand) - $22.00 per Metric Ton
3. Sand (course sand)    - $30.00 per Metric Ton

Normally profit margin is between 5% - 25% of the purchase order (PO) value. It’s make every one try to take some figure, out of that profit. So I will share what was happen to the actual market if this is happen again and again. After all, supplier make money coz everything in cash term.
